In My Mailbox (27)
In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is a feature where we share which books we've received over the week.
Jennie's IMM
Ack! The thumbnail is horrible, but believe me, I'm super excited to read Masque of the Red Death. I don't know where that face came from (and the other 2 thumbnails are just as bad). Anyway, here are the books that I received in the past 3 weeks. Actually, there were a ton of surprises and I'm super excited to read each one of them!
Books Mentioned
For Review:
My Wicked Little Lies by Victoria Alexander
Tangled by Erica O'Rourke
Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris
Glimmer by Phoebe Kitanidis
Social Suicide by Gemma Halliday
Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock
Thumped by Megan McCafferty
Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin
Bought:
Somebody Everybody Listens To by Suzanne Suplee
The Diamond Secret by Suzanne Weyn
Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep
The Education of Bet by Lauren Baratz-Logsted
Soul Screamers Volume 1 by Rachel Vincent
Article 5 by Kristen Simmons
Lady Be Good by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Borrowed:
Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
E-books for Review:
The Académie by Susanne Dunlap
Shooting Stars by Allison Rushby
When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle
Being Friends with Boys by Terra Elan McVoy
Tempted by Her Innocent Kiss (Pregnancy & Passion #3) by Maya Banks
Whispering Hills by Taryn Browning
E-books Bought:
Everything I Know about Love I Learned from Romance Novels by Sarah Wendell
Special thanks to Kensington Books, HarperTeen, Bloomsbury, Simon & Schuster, Harlequin, and Taryn Browning!
Rayne's IMM
Bought:
Incarnate by Jodie Meadows
Incarnate sounds very original, and though I am approaching it with some wariness, I'm really excited to read it.
Harbinger by Sara Wilson Etheine
Look at that cover! Isn't it awesome that it looks like a tarot card? Harbinger sounds ridiculously creepy and awesome, so I'll be taking on this one next.
The Way We Fall by Megan Crewe
This one sounds like the movie Contagion that I saw some weeks ago, and though the movie disappointed me a little, I hope this one delivers exactly what I want of a story about a plague that sinks a town into desperation.
Article 5 by Kristen Simmons
And now to the obligatory dystopian part of this IMM, I present you with Article 5. I wasn't that excited for this one (what I mean is: I might be a little fed up with post-apocalyptic dystopians) but I've read really cool things about it, so I got it. Hope it doesn't disappoint!
Sweetly by Jackson Pearce
I loved the first installment in the Faery Tale Retelling series, Sisters Red. Sure, most of that had to do with the fact that I couldn't stop thinking of me as Scarlett and my sister as Rosie, because really, they were exactly like us, but I loved it nonetheless and I am really excited for Sweetly. I had to wait some time to get it, but I'm really happy I finally have it.
Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta
I'm finally back on my element with this one. High-fantasy is my thing and I've heard amazing things about this one, so I really can't wait to get started on it.
E-book:
Free on nook!
Hearts at Stake by Alexandra Harvey
I still have to read the other book by Harvey that I got a while ago, but hey, free! Hope its good!
Won:
Ordinary Beauty by Laura Wiess
Yay! I won something! This one sounds like an emotional roller coaster, so I'm in. I don't remember where I won it (sorry :( ) but, whoever it was, thank you!

My Rating System
I absolutely loved it! This is an amazing book and I definitely recommend it.
I liked it a lot/loved it. It was an enjoyable read and I recommend it.
It was good/I liked it. This is a story I suggest checking out.
A flawed & disappointing read. This book had redeeming factors, but it was not good enough.
I did not like this book. It was a chore to read.

So much goodness here! I loved Social Suicide. Not as much as Deadly Cool, but definitely enjoyable! I also liked Article 5--just finished it this morning. I'd like to see more post-apocalyptic teen fiction.

I know this is a IMM for 3 weeks but you got a crap load of books! I can't wait to get my hands on Masque of the Red Death.
So healous that you got Hemlock, Thumped, and Masque of the Red Death. All three have been on my to-read-when-published list for a while and I'm jealous of everyone getting ARCs already! I don't know much about the other books you got for review, but I'll be on the lookout for when reviews finally come around for them.
I've been meaning to buy Article 5 for a while too! I've heard fantastic things about it. And everything by Susan Elizabeth Phillips is a must read for me.
Great selection of ebooks as well! I love the cover for Shooting Stars. Ordinary Beauty has a fantastic cover as well, and if it is as emotional as you think it is, I love how it's all expressed in that single image!
Happy reading!
Munnaza/infalliblyyours
ahhh so many goodies! I really want to read Hemlock and Incarnate :)

This is an award-free blog. Thank you for thinking of me, but I do not have the time to fulfill the requirements for most of them.
